That's what I have in the back of the FM. Disc brakes and LSD as well. DvdSwan and I yanked it from a Pathfinder. Great axle. Especially with the 35s.
Front is a Dana44 with 4.56:1. Close enough for dirt or snow.

PRiced a complete exhaust system from headers back to replace the burned out and rusty stock exhaust, and ordered all new rotors, pads, drums, shoes, leaf spring bushings, and sway bar bushings. Hooray for projects!

Is your truck a V6? Can you share what you found for the exhaust? I'm just starting a VG33 swap and my exhaust needs replaced as well.

Thanks

That's an old mudding trick. Overdrive the front.

It is in fact a V6. I have a great local exhaust shop that'll be replacing it with a standard aftermarket muffler and cat. Unless the collector or manifold is broken, my quote is somewhere around $400 or so for the whole shebang. Since you're swapping out for the VG33 I would recommend looking at some local shops and seeing what they can do. Any experienced shop with a good reputation will be able to hook you up with aftermarket parts and any custom piping you need pretty cheap.

Iv got a 93 Hardbody going on 10yrs now, Iím the second owner. In the beginning of this yr I noticed the rough idle slowly happening. And now itís worse the acceleration is not responding the same, getting hesitation between 3rd and 4th gear.
Watching some you tube videos on this issue weíre pointing to the egr and egr vaccum module. I replaced both of those parts and the issue wasnít solved. I sprayed a can of seafoam through the tbi and it didnít do much either.

Anyone have this issue before?

Is yours a V6 or KA24E? If a 4-banger, there's a post on here about the wax fast idle solenoid. Should be pinned.

it has been rainy and cold all year, nothing has been done on the truck for over a month. but it now looks like a truck with the first muddy sidewalls on the new tires.

we finally had 2 dry 70* days so i got to work. on the 2nd day !

i had ordered LED bulbs for both tails and the front running lights and turn signals on dec. 5th, but they were post office delayed until new year's.

seeing my tracking info not change for 25 days kinda killed the initial excitement of "led bulbs!"

but it felt good to finally be able to do something.
and do everything with a #2 phillips and a 10mm socket.
my lenses are all OEM. and these are my first LEDs in anything.

the new white reverse lamps are like floods, they are so bright. like a wide beam led flashlight.

the red led brake and running lamps are very bright. an attention getter for sure.

the amber turn signal LEDs, the same lamps front and rear, are very bright. people will definitely notice the signal.

i did have a "hyper flash" with the new ambers, but i had bought a $16 NAPA EP-34L "flasher
for LEDs" when i ordered my lamps. works like new now!
the stock flasher (Nissan branded & MADE IN USA !!) is located on the clutch pedal bracket, replacement takes 30 seconds, tops. the old one is going in the parts box.

the white front running lamps need to be a little brighter, but are okay.
will re-order from ebay and use the old ones in license plate sockets, or the dash.

after decreasing my lighting load, i swear my headlights are brighter now.

i'm very happy with how everything turned out.

now i think i want clear turn lenses for the front, and a buddy is sending me different tail lights to try out. can't wait for those.

also wet sanded and sprayed 2 more coats on the new tailgate, gonna be slick.

I replaced my coolant temp sensor and cleaned my MAF! not to mention, added half a gallon of lacquer thinner to my gas tank in hopes of cleaning my cat!

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.
