Default radiator support compatibility

Hi folks, I'm new here and am trying to rebuild the front end on my 1991 d21 base 4cyl. All radiator supports that fit are out of stock or discontinued though I've found plenty of 1993 radiator supports but it keeps saying they are not compatible. I'm curious why I can't just tack on a 93' support to my 91'. Is there a reason?
I appreciate any insight.

They should be the same except the holes for the bumper mounts might be different. Can't see why there would be any differences honestly.

I believe it has to do with the valances. 93 had the newer front with the metal valance. 91 had the plastic one. The mounting holes are different between the two. Other than that I haven't seen any difference.

Only differences is the valance mouting holes. But either one can be fitted with either setup.
