Default Odd ping noise

I hear a very faint ping noise when I start moving from a stop. It sounds like it's almost right behind me underneath somewhere, but I don't know what to look for. It's really quiet but you definitely can hear it. It doesn't last, just one to two pings and then it's gone.

Auto or 5spd?

Does it do it when warm and/or cold? Anytime you pull away?

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

If you can make a good recording, then post it to Youtube, that could help.

Without hearing it, I'm guessing. One thing would be something loose hitting the exhaust pipe or the driveshaft.

And definitely have it put up on a lift and inspected. E.g., check the U-joints, and the engine + trans mounts.

Manual, and it's any time I move from a stop, and a few times when downshifting.

When was the clutch replaced last? Do you know?
I'd suspect the throwout bearing... if this can't be answered or it's been a while since the clutch was looked at.

Others may also have some input. As LugNut1990 mentioned, can you do a sound recording or a short video that has the sound?

Oddly enough, the sound that I can best describe it as, is like the bell you hear on a bouy.

OK, so what have you done about it?
Ideas have been thrown out...

I had put a new driveshaft in about 2 weeks ago, also have been trying to turn it by hand and nothing moves. Have checked the cat and there doesn't seem to be anything loose on that either.
