Pretty happy with it. Got it to make it a daily driver. She's only got 64k miles on her and drives great. Anyone ever try to remove 23 year old graphics? Should I even try?

hey man, beautiful truck. I also have a super low mileage hard body that had the same graphics and yes they will come off, but only one way. they are going to be super brittle and flake off in little pieces, trying to peel them you will see is almost impossible. what worked wonders for me is an air powered decal removal tool. it's got a rubber wheel on it that shreds decals but doesn't hurt the paint. then the glue will be left. I used a spray can of 3M adhesive remover and my thumb and just rolled it all off with friction. it'll work, but keep in mind the rest of the trucks paint will be slightly faded with age, and the paint underneath the decals will be brand new, so you will still see the outline of the decals afterwards unless you do some buffing and blending. you can see where mine were, not a big deal to me I like it more than I liked the decals

just search on Amazon "decal remover eraser wheel" and a bunch come up that adapt to a drill which should work fine. I'm gonna recommend getting one that fits to something with fast rpms though like a grinder or any air tool

I'm in St. Charles County near St. Louis. I have not seen any rust yet, but didn't look everywhere. The truck spent all it's life in GA. I got it from a guy in TN. A few dings here and there, but overall in pretty good shape.

I peeled mine off. Used a heat gun to help.

I've tried removing old decals a number of times using a variety of things, most of them had no effect on the decal. I've had success with a heat gun and this stuff.
https://www.autobodytoolmart.com//kl...UaAhmJEALw_wcB Your stripes look like they're in good shape, I'd keep them. I'll be putting something similar on my truck here in the near future. VOTS |
