Finished the painting before the sun went down. Thank God for small favors.
They have spray cans of Liquid Wrench and the like in small versions sometimes. I always carry one in the behind-the-seat-tool-and-emergency-kit.

I carry a can of Aero-Kroll, penetrating oil. Found a few cans at a garage sale once..... $15/can new, $2/used can (50+%) at the sale... so I tossed one in the toolbox for the 89'.

Oh, to ask another question: Do you carry tools in your truck?
Me, yes. Small assortment of metric sockets and open/box ++, in a smaller toolbox.

You can also buy a gallon of pb blaster at the hardware store for like $20 and just buy a cheap spray bottle to put it in. That's what I do. I actually have some kroil too but it's for the 5% of stuff that PB blaster won't work on. There's also the heat wrench if all else fails. Honestly a lot of it is just giving it some time to work. But I don't live in rust country either.

I keep a bag of cheap tools and a multimeter in my car but nothing I would miss if it were to grow legs.

Merry Christmas.
Yes, I keep a full size spare on the chain, and a temp cheapie in the bed. Small tool box behind the drivers seat. I have one jack under the plastic cover (king cab) and a second jack in the box. Fix a flat can, bottle of water, few other things. I always carry two spares, air pump, tire plug kit, fix a flat....ever since I went camping in the middle of Nowhere and got not one...but TWO flats. I had to plug the tire by twisting in a big ass bolt and barely made it back to civilization. It held. Barely. No pump, I just had one can of fix a flat that time. Yeah I learned. Had to keep it at about five mph for maybe ten miles. Real fun. Thought I would lose the rim, but it never got THAT low.

*This happened on my old 1989 single cab, the silver POS below.

Made a recycling run today for an old Sony floor console tv from my Mom’s house. I had to man handle it into the bed due to nobody to help me. Got it loaded up and strapped down and off I went.

There is still 1 more to haul off and they are lighter than I thought. The last one will get recycled Monday or Tuesday.

Found 3 small leaks yesterday. 2 from the power steering rubber hoses. 1 from the bypass hose clamp for the coolant. I will replace the 2 rubber hoses and clamps this week. I've already loosened and retightened the coolant clamp.
