Every so often my ABS and brake light will come on and than after a day or so go off for another day. Any ideas why?

Check the fluid level. Make sure to open the lid and remove the screen so you can directly see the fluid. Frequently, the old fluid will leave a line of residue on the reservoir which makes the level look higher that it actually is.

I believe your ABS module is caput.
I changed mine out when both of these dash lights came on at the same time(I’m assuming this is the case with your truck and it’s a 4 cylinder engine). The module is located under the driver’s seat. Easy plug ‘n’ play repair. Rock Auto has them, as well as Auto Zone. https://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-...control-module https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ol+module,1844 |

Fluid level. Just as Bama said. If the level is good. Start troubleshooting with the FSM.

Changed the ABS module and the fluid was low but my light is still on and I have noticed I must have a leak in the master cylinder or somewhere as I keep losing fluid. Could a bad master cylinder put my ABS and brake light on?
