Since I have been doing a lot of research since getting my truck and there seems to be a lot of back and forth. I will say with 100% surety. My 94 se v6 4x4 with a h233b had an OPEN rear diff, no lsd.

This seems correct, only the wd21 4x4 pathfinders had the LSD apparently

Some D21s got LSD too. With how.my reacts I think mine has it.
Often there is a sticker on the diff but it could have fallen off by now. Only other way to tell is to open it up and take a look.

It was an option for SE models.

I don't plan on hardcore wheeling so I don't need a locker, but I have had a limited slip vehicle before and I really liked it. Are there any drop in units for the 233b? Or should I look at a junkyard Nissan and just replace the third member?

Any traction device for the H233B is going to be pricy. If you find one in a j/y I would image it would need new clutches which would still be cheaper than buying new.
