Once I change the rear bushings, the minor shaking will probably go away. I do not drive it on the interstate too often. At least it does not have the death wobble. The shaking/vibrating in the rear above 60 might be a start of what becomes the death wobble.

I am off Thursday, so the heater core gets changed. 44 degrees this morning with the AC on to clear the windows was not fun.

Locked myself out this weekend. Her mom brought brought the spare key to me. So when i got home, I hid a key under the frame with a ziptie. While I was under the frame, I noticed one of the strut rod bolts was backed out. Turns out they both were loose. I guess I need to find some new ones that have the nylon coated threads or just do the double nut method.

Heater core replaced last week.

Drove to work yesterday and I noticed it was pulling to the left. Got out at work and instantly smelled a hot brake. On the way home, the brake was grabbing so bad i could hardly run faster than 30. Got home and cooled them down and discovered that both front calipers were stuck. No big deal, I bought new ones last year when they were on sale.

Changed them both, got her to pump the pedal and bled them out. I got in to go test the brakes and noticed the temp was sitting at 240. Removed the rad cap and it was empty. All the missing antifreeze was in the passenger floor. It appears that one of the heater hoses had a cut and was spraying coolant inside the cab and down the inner firewall behind the carpet. I knew the new core wasn’t leaking as there was no smell from the vents. I trimmed the end of the suspected hose off and it appears to be ok now.

When I had the front wheels off, I also spotted a loose allen bolt on the right hub. I tighted them up and checked the driver side. Yup, they were loose and it is missing one on the left side. Now I have to find a hub bolt for mile marker hubs. I should have used a light duty loctite.

Yeah I have been busy LOL

What a fucking headache.

In light of my lockout debacle, I stole the key in door open chimebox from the truck. Oddly enough the pathfinder did not have that little gem. Thank god nissan used a universal cab wiring harness. Next thing….go to LKQ for the door chime so the truck can ding ding again.

The coolant problem seems to be ok. Man I hope it was just a bad hose end. I really do not want to take all that stuff out again.

Saturday I checked everything. Coolant low again. Floorboard soaked. Had to remove the heater core again. Damn hose clamp on the rear was leaking. I made oreillys swap the core. Told them it was leaking. What a nightmare.

Heater fixed. Bad clamp on the core. Replaced the reverse light switch. Not fun with the trans still the vehicle. Found out why the clutch is slipping. The damn clutch fork has shifted sideways.

Yeah. The master cylinder died yesterday. You saw the video of what the replacement was doing……blowing fluid out out the valve on the main shaft. So much for buying one in advance from rockauto on the cheap. I had to order one on an overnight truck. There goes another hundred bucks.
