Default Help wonít go past 60mph!!

I need some help on what to look for on my 93 d21 2.4 cylinder. It drives and acts normal at any speed under 60. Doesnít hesitate, shake, or stutter. When it hits around 62mph the gas cuts out until it drops down to 59 itíll catch again. I had it on jackstands and got it to jump from 40 to 80mph+ And it didnít cut off so itís only doing it between 60 and 80mph. Obviously on the street I canít get it to jump from 40 to 80 though lol. So far Iíve changed the MAF, TPS sensor, ECU, and distributor cap from my 94 donor. I recently did the 94+ dash swap idk if that might have something to do with it since everything worked fine before. Iím now thinking it could have something to do with the speed sensor maybe? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks for your time

Stop throwing money at it without know what the actual problem is. Just throwing parts at it could make the problem worse or more difficult to find.

Pull codes and use the FSM to solve the issue.

The Check Engine Light, or CEL, will only come on if you have an emissions related issue.

9 times out of 10 on these trucks, it's going to be a MAF problem. Either it's dirty or has corrosion preventing the ground wire from making a connection.

Except do basic maintenance (with new parts), that's needed anyway, that might help. Air filter, fuel filter, 02 sensor. And look for an exhaust restriction. A swapped part could be bad (too).

Check the codes. Might be one or more set, that hasn't triggered the CEL? IDK if that happens on these, but does on other cars of mine.

The pre OBD2 trucks won’t trigger a check engine light. The ECM store the codes until they are read, corrected and wiped clean.

Figured it out guys it was a wire on the harness i can’t remember why I wired the speed sensor to a white and blue wire. I was following 2 different dash swaps and one of them said to wire it that way. That wire goes to the ECU I just cut it and bam it’s all good now lol. Now I can completely finish my 94+ dash swap! Thanks for all your guys input i appreciate it!
