Just but a D21. Been going to junkyard to get missing pieces and broken trim. There is a empty bracket by the battery. What goes here?

that would be where the starter relay and another relay would go depending on the options your truck came with, is there a relay with 2 plugs (blue) laying down below that bracket? I can see the large blue relay laying on the inner fender in your pic.

I would clean up REAL WELL those battery cable ends, or better yet change those battery cables. Those on that truck are what I would consider "for emergency use only" and will cause issues in the future.
