Axle bearing could have come apart. One roller from the bearing could lock the rear end down if it was jammed between the pinion and carrier gears.

Hopefully thats all it is. Soon ill beable to dig into it. Finishing up working on an s10. PIA to work on, at least for the brake booster and 4wd vacuum.
