Not a fan of cold weather, but extended forecast has us having more seasonable temps next week.
At least you have winter up in Washington, 89'HBV6!

Got the truck out in the snow today. It's still falling at 500ft of elevation. We have seen about 8" total since Xmas.
The snow makes.memiss living in the high desert and getting snow every winter.

Checked the electrical harness connectors for the EVAP Control Pressure sensor and the EVAP canister vent control valve(solenoid). I wanted to test the harnesses for power to the components due to the P1447 code and I couldn’t unlock the harness connectors for nothing, due to the plastic housings are somewhat “welded” onto its connection point. So I’ll want to remove the bed for better access and have a better go at it.

So, from the 24th, when it started snowing (yes, we had a white Christmas), till now, we've had close to 10". Could get a break over the next couple of days... and get sunbreaks to melt off some of this white water. We need "shadows"! ![]() But, temp wise... we'll be suffering. Below freezing for a high, till Thurs or Fri... lows are in the teens/lower 20's for the next week. )o: Damn Cold!!!

It's been t-shirt weather for over a week here. I've been pushing myself to take advantage of it by getting outside and doing stuff. Mostly fixing up a Silverado 2500HD that I just got as a hauler. Planning longer trips with the camper and the boat, and want something more roomy than the FM.
Once I get that truck detailed out, I will be going over the FM; getting caught up on maintenance. It will be nice not having to rush through a job because it's my DD. Something about t-shirt weather that just inspires me to get out there and sling wrenches. ![]()

Picked up a free 94 to fix for my wife. She’s still pissed about the white one I fixed and sold a few years ago. I popped the valve cover off to check and it needs a timing chain and cover. I ordered about $450 in repair/tune up parts to get it road ready.

This response is more of what I did WITH my truck…
I parked my 97 D21 next to a 2022(?) Ford Maverick “compact” hybrid truck last night at work. Looks like a coworker(I don’t know whom the owner is) has taken the leap in buying one of these vehicles. So I parked next to it. I parked my doors even with the Mav’s for a nice comparison photo shoot and the visuals in the photos are noticeable. I’m having to reduce the pixel count in the photos and am not able to post them yet. But I’m working on it. Teaser…the side view of the Maverick is UUUUUUIGLY… |
