Just to update, removed the valve cover, inspected the springs, etc...nothing looks weird. Turned the engine with a ratchet, nothing looks weird. Will be ordering a head gasket set (HG, intake G, exhaust G, etc) as well as ARP studs 202-4307 and hopefully getting that all done within a few weeks.

Take before pictures if you have a cell phone so you can remember where everything goes. If you take too many, you don't have to pay for them like the old film cameras. If you have downtime, watch some YouTube videos on doing the head gasket. There might not be many for the D21 Hardbody, but you should find plenty for the KA24de used on the 240sx. It shouldn't be too different. Take a few notes, and bookmark the videos that are actually useful.
