Cut out the diff crossmember bolts and put new ones in from the front.

I found a great new way to get the oil pan off! By removing the four bolts connecting the extension shaft to the differential and the two bolts connecting the extension shaft mounting bracket to the front crossmember, you can pull the whole assembly out from the side of the pumpkin, and out from under the oil pan. I took a picture once I got it all removed to show how the pumpkin is in place with the oil pan gone. The motor isn't even lifted!

Thanks, I think I should make a separate post for this method that has better pictures. I've never heard of anyone doing this, but it's a total game changer for us 4x4 owners.
