Default 1986.5 v6 no spark

I hope someone can steer me to a troubleshooting chart or something. I have a 1986.5 d21 4wd 3.0 , a few weeks ago it shut off on me going down my driveway check it out best I new how no fire , so I bought a new ignition control module and fired right up .
Drove it a few days and it quit again this time had to call in a rollback , ok I have tried another new ignition control module , new coil and distributor , all fuseable links I can find check out good . I am honestly lost right now , any help would be greatly appreciated. I miss my truck .

First, have you pulled codes? It might be able to tell you something.

JP has a link, and Sifi does too, to the FSM. Pick the nearest year. It can help with diagnostics and testing.

Is the wire that feeds your dizzy from the coil good?
