Got the parts, swapped the wheels out a while ago. now to get the paint into shape

That made a big difference.

Does rubbing compound do any good on the paint, or is it just gone?

Majority of the paint on the roof/pillars and hood are far gone, but a lot of the body under the body line i could probably do a little work on. thinking of best plan of attack now

I painted the bed of my truck a few years ago using a pint of Rustoleum and a roller brush.

It took longer to dry than spray paint, but the result is a really strong paint job! It was easy to do, also.

I imagine if you did more prep work and taped off spots you didn't want paint on, this would be a decent way to go. I think Foul Mouth said he painted his green rally-race truck with a roll brush.



It's certainly a better option than going with a rattle-can.

Love the idea! thank you for the video as well. i was thinking either repaint or throw some shine juice on it and keep some patina, but fresh paint would look nice

I saw a guy use a 5gal pail of bedliner on the outside of his truck. Looked interesting, didn't need to be washed and prob added 100+lbs to the truck...
