Like the Hardbody group, people try selling their Xterras there, but everyone already owns one.

Also, it's a good place to learn the strengths and flaws about the Xterra.

If you go with an older one, get the 1500. The smaller motors are a PITA to replace, pull the motor, the stator if it goes out which is more common on the smaller ones. Also the big one has reverse.

I've been thinking about buying an early 90s GL1500 lol. I love my GSX S1000 but after 600 miles or so in a day I'll be absolutely beat.

Actually, I'm an ol' KZ guy. Have 3 of them. 2 650's and an 1000P. Thought about a wing, but not really a cruiser these days. Too many crazies out there... don't want to die... just puttin' when I can...

If I want distance, my bikes are not built for that and neither am I... then I choose the Subie...

Well, I did join. I also checked their 'bad list' about SMOD and the radiator. The serial number for my radiator is not on the bad list.

So okay, I wangled this nice 2009 Xterra out of a guy in Ellensburg for $3000. Has about 180K on it. No leaks, no smoking or knocking and ran great all the way back to Yakima. Four wheel drive unit works in both configurations with no problems.

Some minor bad stuff: Seat belt warning light stays on for no reason. Left shock squeaks a bit when you hit a bump. He said it needed new shocks. Trim level is X. I had to wash the hell out of it outside and under the hood.

No problem starting, running, or shifting and all the accessories seem to work fine. Steering and alignment good. AC blows ice cold. Gauges work and are showing normal. Will probably need tires within the next year sometime. I am absolutely dead on my feet doing all the crap I tried to do this week. That includes running ads and cleaning and selling the Teal Terror, (got $4800 for it) hunting down a tent trailer, buying that, getting it home, and cleaning THAT up, and then running to Ellensburg this morning in heavy smoke/smog conditions to buy the Xterra. I am way too tired to go outside again and take pictures, but here is a picture from the seller's ad. Looks better after I washed the thing.

I will change my signature later when I get my own picture of the Xterra.

You know that is great about the Xterra?

It didn't come in teal.

Try thinking back to a vehicle on here known as the Teal Terror.

Take your time.

I'm talking "Stock" paint. Did Nissan use teal on the D21, when new?
