I turned down a cash offer of $5,800 on the Teal Terror today.
I'm in no big hurry to sell it. But being a writer, book editor, and all that jazz...I had to put out a stylized ad at Craigslist.

We will see what happens by the weekend.

The problem with these truck, yours especially, is that nobody wants to pay for how much we/you take/took care of them. They want a good deal on a good truck, and you asking top dollar for yours (which it deserves) is not a "good" deal, it's above "a fair/market price" Not to diminish the care you have taken of the Teal Terror, but the guys wanting these trucks are NOT changing the oil every 2,000 miles, or they are older guys like us who can't afford to buy a 30+yo truck for $7,000. You are looking for a very small specific group of maybe 100 buyer's who are not concentrated in one area, but spread out across the country. Good Luck on your new chapter in LIFE.

PoBoi brings up a decent point. You might have better luck finding a niche buyer like that on BringATrailer.

Recently there was a on old style Ford Ranger going for $23k. The truck might be worth it to a buyer, but getting it insured would be next to impossible.

If it's old enuf to have classic plates and was "totally restored", I can see 20+k. Look what new cars are costing these days! Having a "new classic" is better, IMPO. YMMV...

Getting something like that insures is not hard. What is hard is loading 20 cinder blocks in a "restored classic".

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

Yea, used prices are crazy... then find what you want! People are holding their classics and anything of value. Can't replace them for what you can sell them for...

Someone today offered me 5800. I am thinking about it.
