Center bore on the wheels is 108 mm vs 100 on the D21. The rings fit however, I did not realize they had an inner chamfer so they do not sit on the hub flange on the truck properly. I emailed the place I bought them from to see if they offer the right ones. If they wont take these back I may just alter them myself I guess. Ill take better photos tonight showing the problem.

Coming together...

New hoses from water outlet/thermostat housing. Water pump, thermostat and housing installed. Cleaned all the crud from alternator bracket.

Water outlet was really dirty so I decided to clean it. Found it was pitted pretty bad. I originally thought that it would leak but I shut off all the lights and stuck and led in there and no light comes through so I'm hoping it will be fine.

Installed:

Oil pan - Went with the cork gasket since no one offered up experience. Did gasket maker on pan to gasket. Left gasket to bottom end dry for easier removal incase I fucked something up. Also while under the truck installing pan I found these bolts. Jsut doesn't look right.. Also the super clean area is where I wiped fresh leaking oil from even though the truck hasn't been started in months. The rear end of trans is covered in caked old oil. Were could it be coming from?

Greddy magnetic drain bolt - had to replace the old one anyways. Might as well make it useful.

Also managed to get to broken exhaust stud out of the bolt. Unfortunately the threads are damaged so it wont go back on the stud that I till in the head. I think I will just replaced the stud since it looks like its out long enough to grab.

Power steering brackets are also installed. Going to put the lower brace back on so I can lower the truck. Will be easier to install sway bar end links. Ordering the alternator today and I guess new power steering hard lines since they are leaking continuously.

For the alternator the only info i found on IN was to stay away from the mean green option from 4x4parts.com. After a search I'm looking at this option from Quality Power. Looks like they are built upon order. Made in USA. bit Pricey but considering my lights dim with nothing in the car but an old cd player head unit... the stock unit wont be any good for added sound equipment and upgraded lighting.

If I don't know, I try not to comment. I did an oil pan gasket once, and it leaked. And I don't know what to say about your extra bolts. Maybe Nissan used too many.

No worries! I try not to try something new without at least asking first. In this case, if it leaks Ill already be checking it constantly so it wont damage anything or get out of hand. So we will see!

Good news:

Oil pan is on and all the suspension parts and truck is on the ground. Just waiting for the alternator and to figure out how to remove the exhaust stud. The manifold is in the way of the extractor I have to I need to find a new way.

Bad news:

Was working on the truck late, and forgot to open the garage before lowering the truck down from the quick jacks. when it hit the ground it rolled backwards right into the garage door. Left a few bends on one of the panels but nothing that affects the open/close operation. Still annoyed. Didnt take photos.

Also having trouble locating the 2nd power steering line. Nissan parts has it discontinued. Rock auto only has the 1 line (which I ordered) and is highlighted in blue in this photo. I highlighted in yellow the one I cannot locate.

This is from the FSM for the 97

However this is from Nissan parts online

The parts online photos shows a 2 piece or multi piece hose.. so now sure whats going on haha

Got it all put back together. Started her up and she was running pretty rough. Was going to adjust timing when I noticed oil on the ground. Looks like its coming from the oil filer. Which is brand new from Nissan. There's a chance it isnt the right one because when I was putting it on I said to myself this doesn't look right..

I have some family obligations tomorrow but hopefully I can grab a new oil filer. Change that to stop the leak and get it timed to see how she runs. The few seconds I did have it running it stared up smooth, but sounded like it needed an oil change so I'm assuming it just didnt get any oil through since its been sitting dry for so long.
