Do wheels and tires matter? Truck came on 14’s with big tires and it’s on 15’s with smaller tires.

It will change the reading, but not much. You can find out HOW much by driving past one of those radar signs that show your speed, and keeping your speed steady...looking at your speedometer. Usually it is only one or two MPH difference though.

Previous owner mounted 15 inch tires and wheels on my current truck. Speedo reads two MPH FASTER than you are actually going. This is no big deal, and might help keep you from getting a traffic ticket.

They will change the actual speed that the vehicle is going, but they will not make any difference to what the speedometer displays. It only turns at the rate created by the gear in the transmission.

American Beauty steel wheels. Tires are Cooper Cobras in white letters. 15 inch. It's a joke. I once did a book on skyjacker DB Cooper.

Right, coming back, I have searched and searched and couldn’t find a mechanical sender, anyone have any idea where to find one? (Yes, I have looked at junkyards and Pick-A-Parts)

Find someone parting out their 93 or older Hardbody, and buy one off them.

You probably won't find it in your neighborhood. Search eBay or Facebook Groups. There are several Hardbody groups on Facebook.
