Default When Press the Brake the Marker Lights come on

96 Hardbody. Truck had aftermarket cruise control took that off. Fixed all the cut wires. Now when I press the brake pedal the corner marker lights light up along with the brake lights. But at night when the headlights/marker lights are on and I press the brake I have no brake lights. Changed the light switch and have all the factory bulbs in the vehicle.

Welcome...

So, did everything work ok before you pulled the CC? Did you pull all the CC electronics?

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

Did it have or does it still have a trailer light connection? If so, start checking it's wiring.

That's what I'm thinking as well.

Me also, but since it seemed to be connected to the CC, per the OP, that's where I went. fyi...

Could also be bad grounding. Poor grounds will cause the voltage to search for ground through smaller filaments like corner markers and marker lights.

Make sure you have the correct bulb base; 1 or 2 contacts to match the sockets.
