So I'm curious what's everyone's opinion on a bagged hardbody? I don't wanna go the cheap way and cut springs and cool overs aren't as easy to adjust. I want to be able to be slammed but if I need factory height I can have it. So what do you think? If you have any recommendations or pictures i would love to see them

There are no coils to cut on a hardbody. Do some reading and browsing in the suspension forum and you'll find a ton of info.

My opinion on bagged hardbodies is that they are bad ass.

Sorry. I'm not on as much these days. Been trying to get back into coming on and checking stuff out. I would say you want to at least have $2000 on hand to get good stuff and everything you need. As crazy as it sounds, I probably had closer to 3 in it by the time I was done but I don't remember exactly how much I spent on the whole bagging process.

and thats doing it yourself - multiply x3 if going to a reputable shop
If you don't have the tools or access (full set of quality hand tools, pneumatic tools make things easier, welder, angle grinder and all the consumables that go with them) you'll need to factor those into the cost. The big items are costly but you'll spend a ton of money on the nickel and dime stuff. Not to mention bagging a truck to layout pretty much means modification to every system on the vehicle (suspension, driveline, steering, electrical, exhaust, fuel, body, chassis…) - its a lot of work and not a weekend endeavor. If this is your daily plan for several weeks of downtime - I picked at my project for about a 9 months (couple hours every weekend) going from stock height drivable to laid out & drivable. |

^^ he's right. I didn't do everything myself though. I had someone do all the serious welding and 4 link setup. He gave me a fair price on the labor and I bought all the parts & metal.
