Default bucket seat conversions and center consoles.

Hello, I just installed a pair of extended cab seats in my regular cab 95 d21. After reading many threads, I'm between buying a universal center console and installing either an extended cab console our an xterra console.

If anyone has experience with any of these configs, please share your thoughts and product/model names. Also I think the installations may need some fabrication. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I prefer the 96-97 HB console, it is a little taller than the earlier consoles so it's more comfortable for resting your arm.

I've got pathfinder buckets with an Xterra center console and it's super comfy for the long hauls. My only concern would be how the Xterra console fits with the stock shifter, because I have a custom one that moves my whole arm up way above even getting close to elbowing the console. so take shifting comfort and room into consideration too.

I put Pathfinder seats in my single cab hardbody. They looked more heavy duty than the hardbody extended cab seats. They bolted right in. I would not recommend installing the 90-95 pathfinder center console. I did b/c it came with the seats that I purchased at the salvage yard. The console only opens to the driver side. Which means the passenger has no cup holder. The newer consoles for the exterra's and 98-04 trucks are probably a better looking console, but I have no idea if they would bolt right in like the late model extended cab hardbodies would.

Well thanks for all the quick responses. Please keep them coming.I'm leaning toward an hb console if i can it. Local pull a part hasn't had an xterra in in a year. The timely advice is much needed, as the wife and I are planning to take Yoko Oh-No on a road trip in a week and a half. Named her Yoko after we heard her ac belt whine the first time. They're both screechy old Japanese ladies. Get it?

I wish I could do something about my center console but i'd have to relocate the handbrake somehow. Cupholders would be nice..

I prefer the Xterra center console. Plus they have rear cup holders as well! direct bolt in.
