Hi all,
After searching for literally YEARS I finally found my dream pickup. Every time a good one went up for sale it would get snapped up in 24 hours, I don't think people realize how valuable these 2WD regular cab models are. Finally got the chance to buy this one - only 47k miles if you can believe it and in pristine shape. I love her like a child. I plan to make a few minor creature comfort updates but definitely want to preserve as much of the original look as possible. Planned improvements:
If y'all have recommendations for professional bed liner install and/or electronics install in the Puget Sound area please let me know! Looking forward to chatting with you! ![]() |

I can’t recommend a shop for what you’re wanting to do. But there are members here that possibly live near your area.
Your truck appears to be my truck’s twin! Minus the King Cab. 5-speed or automatic transmission? |

A little jealous of your swooshy decals, PorknBeans! Mine's a manual.

They are original to the truck when I bought it brand new in Feb. 1997. I have noticed very small pieces of the decals chipping off. So I had the idea of pulling them off at one point with a heat gun and having them air brushed or painted on with some texture to it. But only if/when that time comes… How many miles on your truck? How about your clutch? Compression numbers? |

Welcome to IN...
Please do fill in more info on your D21, in your profile. There were differing version and knowing some of these details can really matter. 2 or 4WD, Auto/manual, 4cyl of V6? Thanks...

The 96&97 models were only 4 cylinders. No v6 option was available. I think it was emissions and obd2 related. The vg30 was dead and the vg33 was next on the list for the soon to be d22 frontier.

Nice truck. I almost jumped on a flight to the northwest coast for a king cab in near perfect condition. It was sold before the trade in for a new truck could be complete.
