I recall buying new replacement CV axles one time and found that they did not allow the same angles of movement as the ones I took off. I returned those and bought a different brand from a different auto parts store, and they worked.
Compare the angle of the worn ones to the angle of the new ones. It's very possible that the range of motion is not enough for your setup. I've seen that personally. If your bump stops are shot, or have been replaced with the shallow little 1/2" thick ones, that could be making things worse. Especially when it is on the jack and hanging at full droop. Missing or low-profile bumps will let it droop too far. Try jacking it up from right under the lower ball joint and check for binding at normal compression.
