Well worth it. Now the challenge is to keep throwing new parts at it to make all the other old parts new and shiny too. I'm going full midlife crisis on this thing.

Ordered all new steering and suspension parts. Mostly Moog. Heavy duty KYB shocks. And new clutch components: mostly LUK. Filling up the cupboards as spring is getting closer.

What clutch did you pick up? I have a 6 puck ceramic behind my VG33. I can't remember who makes it. Its the gnarliest thing I could find for these trucks. Its a light switch and I can't yet back up smoothly. I'm still learning how to get off the line smoothly too. Otherwise I absolutely love it. Stupid positive engagement, fast engagement when I need it and smooth and easy to use when rolling.

I went with a LUK; read on here a member had no issues with it. Just wanting a reliable A/M replacement at a reasonable price, nothing crazy.

Luk makes good stuff. My dad has on in his diesel super duty. I think you'll be pleased.

For those that have done a tranny swap, what seals should I be looking at replacing since the whole thing is gonna be out anyway: rear main, driveshaft seals, transfer case seals? 4x4 V6.
