Ok, I've done a search, and I've read this thread... Does anyone know if this will work on a 93 v6 hb?

I used a 02 125a Villager alt. I did have to cut a little of the backside of the front mounting bracket. But I also had to cut about the same amount off front of the top bracket where you tighten the bolt to lock the alt in place for the alt to slide behind the bracket. And my stock bracket is about a quater of an inch to high. Anyone else have this prob? I guess I'm going to cut and reweld my bracket where I need it to be.

My question is that i have a 97 HB 2.4L and my alternator has mounting holes at 6oclock and 12 o'clock. The quest alternator has 6 o'clock and 2 o'clock from what i see. Am i able to do the swap with the mounting holes in different areas?

It will probably work, they're both V belts. You can check at the parts store and see if the belts are the same width.
