Exhaust preferences/setups - Page 2 - Infamous Nissan

I cut off everything after the cat. I had to keep the cat because of emissions testing here in Washington State. I replaced my old stock exhaust with a Thrush Glasspack and 1 7/8" tailpipe. Sounds pretty good now!

Alright thanks guys. Wondering if anyone used flow masters? I heard it on a YouTube Video and it sounded pretty good but never said what style or model it was. If anyone has flow masters setup let me know what you used.

This was my experience:

Fitting 2-1/2" Exhaust

Went through:

Magnaflow
Walker Sound F/X
Flowmaster
Walker QuietFlow 3

And will likely go back to the Sound F/X, if I still have the truck by that time. The QuietFlow is cracking apart and the cat is rattling.

I have an original 40 series with no cat, 2" all the way back from the factory manifold, with a side exit in front of the drivers back wheel. Not a fan of it. It has a hell of a lot of rasp, that sort of "bees in a tin can" sound. The setup in general is a nice setup, but I don't like the sound of it. Chambered mufflers all have that sound.

I'm replacing it with a Borla muffler at some point. Maybe a Magnaflow, but I've been a fan of most Borla's I've heard on anything.

Every Borla I have ever heard sounded awesome. Didn't matter what it was on.

Theyre pacesetter headers for a datsun 720 that i had to modify...
