Default VG33e Timing Belt

I am looking at a 99 Infiniti qx4 (a Pathfinder w.bells and whistles).

The PO has no idea of how old the timing belt is...that means it needs to be changed.

In the past 2 yrs or so, I've done a dohc 5 cyl Volvo and a 3.4 Honda V6, so I should be able to do this.

I am gonna do my Mercury Villager (a Quest) this weekend. It has the vg30e in it, I think.

The Q, how long does it take? 4-6 hrs?

BTW, I looked, and did not find a "Sticky" for this.

If you’re a pretty good mechanic you should be able to do it in 4-6 hours. Assuming you don’t run into any problems. The cam seals can be a pain to remove.

I've done a few Tbelts. As you get it down it can be done in 4 or less hours pretty easy.

Doing the VG33 belt will be identical to the VG30 belt except some of the brackets you must remove to get to the timing cover.
