Default Code 33 P0402

Looking for info on code 33 (P0402) comes up as bad O2 sensor and/or bad BPT Valve.
Getting detonation (pinging) on acceleration. Egr was replaced about a year ago. No Vacuum leaks. Pair pipe does need to be welded to the y pipe on the exhaust. Have it capped right now.
Only code that comes up is 33.
94 KA, AT, RWD 116,000 miles. Other than this truck runs fine.

any suggestions.

Smoke test in order. And then an EGR system diagnosis. What's your timing set to?

Long ago, it seems like another post was about a mysterious issue that went away after the pair pipe was replaced. He was trying to remove emissions stuff, it seems.
