Default Driver's Ed

Sorry Poboi850, it wasn't me that taught you Driver's Ed in Florida! I taught Auto Body repair in Brampton, Ontario--I used to teach my students how to drive manual transmission, if they needed help, though.

My D21 is an automatic transmission with overdrive, mainly because my wife also drove the truck in city traffic in Toronto. We used to drive 200 Km. per day for 10 years from home to our respective schools and back. I changed oil and filter every 5 weeks. We drove the old truck for seven years with no service required other than oil and filter, although the original battery lasted for four years. I replaced it with a Canadian Tire battery that was guaranteed for life. Every 4 years or so, I get a new battery for free! Best purchase I ever made! It needed a new muffler and tailpipe at 7 years.

XOXScifiguy, thanks for the suggestion regarding driving lights. I have been thinking lately about installing LEDs to work like daytime driving lights. I like to be seen. By the way, my D21 is silver and dark blue. I liked it from the first time I saw it in the showroom! I had it repainted in 2000 when it turned over 500,000 km. It still looks good although now it a good 10 footer. It still gets used all year around.

I will post a photo of my odometer in a couple of weeks when it turns over 640,000 km. Thanks for the interest!

Congratulations on flipping 640,000 km! I have no idea how many miles that is. But I'm pretty sure it's a "truck load"! See what I did there...

Thanks, PorknBeans. I'm not sure how to do that, sorry. You can see the photos through Quick Links. I like the play on words!

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

Thanks, 89'HBV6!

BTW, PorknBeans, I calculate that 640,000 km. is equal to 400,000 miles. Like you said--a truckload!
