Default D21 OEM Adjustable rear suspension?

Was looking thru the D21 service manual and saw this diagram:






Something jumped out at me: "Adjustable rear shock absorber"?? Looks like this was on the "WAGON MODEL" i.e. the Pathfinder.


Did Nissan really offer OEM adjustable suspension?

They offered some cool stuff on the party but I don't think the D21 got any of the trick suspension.
