Hey guys,
Broke my parking brake. Snapped in the cable, right where it connects to the handle. Pretty sure just the cable isn't replaceable and have to replace both handle and first portion of cable. I can't find a place that I can order from. I'm only finding the 2nd portion of the assembly. Also, if direction for spare parts would be awesome. Going to start fixing her up and replace the older parts on her. Any help, Thanks in advance! |

Welcome to IN...
As you may have already read, we do suggest you get familiar with your local junkyard(s). Some spare parts are NLA or a yard may be your best bet. Hang tight... I'm sure others will have input for you.

You can swap the cable out. Junkyard is probably gonna be your only hope. Or ask david.

I’ve had success welding my parking brake…
Others may be more safety conscious than me though… |

Parking brake setups from the 1998 - 2004 Frontiers fit in the Hardbody too. The design is a little different, but the bolt holes all line up the same.

Well I’m by no means a good welder and mine has held for a couple years now. Just used a cheap used 120v welder.
Gave it the stress test -pulling it way harder that anyone ever normally would and it held up fine. I give it the regular pull and check the wire occasionally. More than most do. |

Does anyone have any input on hydraulic e-brakes? eBay says it will fit my truck. https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Black-Al...-127632-2357-0
