Sup guys it’s been awhile.
Well had a coolant leak awhile back so I parked the truck finally got around to changing the thermostat and gasket also change the water pump with a new gasket Yet even before I start the truck when I pour coolant into the radiator I still have coolant leaking onto the ground it is very hard to tell where it’s coming from but it is underneath the thermostat somewhere but I’m pretty sure it’s not from the thermostat itself as I’m confident in the seal that I made I’ve read somewhere about freeze plugs could that be an issue and where my coolant leak is coming from? 97 Nissan pick up 2wd Last edited by 1lownismo97; 08-24-2021 at 09:17 PM. |

Yea, freeze plugs are there for a reason. Go ahead and look into this. Keep us posted.

Might be worthwhile to get a free loaner cooling system pressurizer kit from Autozone or similar.

Yeah I’ll check the U shaped toes first and if that doesn’t work I will look into using the pressure system

A pressure tester and UV dye with the black light will tell the tale.
