They just wrote back and said the pipe ID is 2.52", so that means the pipe coming out can be what ever size flange (with pipe) I use, which will be 2".

I pulled 2 flanges I had from my 90 sentra and they both came from the same car and one is 1.5" pipe and the other is 1.75", but the flanges are both the same size, and I know the cat on that car had larger openings.

so one good thing anyway.

If I can't get this engine to idle right I won't be replacing any exhaust, may just be beating it to death with a sledge hammer !
