I tried as you suggested. I'm not sure I did it right though. I undid the clamp screw and was able to raise the distributor about an inch as I turned it seemingly to effect such that it would ride over a tooth to the next groove and then slip back down, but when I checked the timing, I could not get it to go far enough again. I tried to do two teeth, but with the same results. Am I not doing it right or something?
