I only had a problem with my auto hubs once. I had opposite corners up on high spots, so the suspension was fully twisted. And I was rocking back and forth trying to get enough traction to get free....

Are you asking about leaving them out temporarily, or permanently?

I don't see why your idea wouldn't work. The stub shaft doesn't do anything as far as the wheel bearings are concerned, except...

The driveshaft should be no problem, they all use the same bolt pattern. Even the c200. I just swapped a 04 driveshaft into my truck.

Since you mention the center section I assume your taking about an h233b. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the biggest difference the width? The 04 will be about 3" wider than the 96. I...

Good move annealing the slug, did you re harden it or just leave it? Being in the front, and having a LSD it probably won't see much wear.

A Spartan lunchbox type locker in a h233b. It works well. It's pretty aggressive, the tires will chirp if I turn a corner with more than a little throttle, especially if turning from a stop. If I'm...

Looks like I forgot to update this. I got the axle back together and the endplay was right in spec with the original shims.

Z24 distributor adaptor plate thing

There could be many names for it. It bolts into the timing cover and the distributor bolts to it.

Here's a pic, not my pic tho. Cause I don't have one.

I did a bunch of measuring last night and made some very out-of-scale drawings of the frame, oil pan, steering box, and axle. At full compression the Dana 44 should tuck up to where the front diff is...

Thanks Res, I'll go with the stock one for now. I don't mind the feel of big calipers with a smallish master, so as long as I don't run out of travel I'll leave it alone.

SAS brake question

Do you SAS guys use the original master cylinder? If so, did you add a proportioning valve?
The Nissan caliper has an area of 29 square cm vs 44 in the Dana 44 caliper. That's a big difference, and...
