I know the injectors can get stuck, at least that's my experience with the newer design that sits in the fuel rail. I have to tap them with a hammer to break the years of fuel causing them to stick....

My guess is he is saying the bracket design was changed in order to accommodate the federal regulations for crumple zones. They would still have to fit the same bolt patterns and dimensions.
