Make sure you use NGK plugs and wires. These trucks are not really a fan of other stuff.

There really isnt much to bleeding the lifters. You run the truck, oil goes into them. Thats pretty much it. New lifters will sound like a disaster for a few minutes after startup.

If you really want to do a motor swap a SBC is probably the best bag for the buck.
