Find the local guy that buys used cats.
I got $25.00 for my old one.

whether the bolts come right out or not, it's being done at home, LOL. I'll either unbolt it or cut the bolts off. I have 2 stock gaskets already from my sentra exhaust project ! I will only use those multi layer metal OEM gaskets, learned all about exhaust gaskets working on my former 87.

In the sentra, I knew the cat was clogged so I took it off, and removed everything inside, put it back on but the noise the exhaust made just swirling around in the empty cavity and the exhaust fumes were driving me crazy, so I was going to just remove it, but i found I could not bolt the flanges together ( I cut the pipe after the second flange, thinking I could bolt them together than just add a short piece of pipe to tie it back together) because the pipe sticks out through the flange. So I found a piece of 1" thick steel at work in the scrap pile and brought it home. I ended up making a spacer to go between the 2 flanges, I did all the machining work using a drill, sawzall and carbide grinding tip in my air grinder, it was a bitch working with steel that thick and took me about a week. Metal shavings everywhere !

I finally installed the spacer with new gaskets and it leaked like crazy. Ended up cutting both flanges off, which I didn't want to do and straight piped it, sold it as scrap after selling it to my step daughter and her BF and they killed it.

I kept the spacer and flanges.

most salvage yards buy old cats...........back when the platinum was really high about ten years ago, i know someone who made 4 grand off old cats. he was a shop foreman and they had a fleet who changed all that shit religiously on set mileage. he saved the old cats for 6 months, and made a fortune.

I put in one of those Walkers a few years ago. I remember having to order some more parts to complete the job, e.g., hanger(s) and gaskets. Also previously went with the Walker cat-back muffler. All fit very well on my KA24E D21.

Ordered the catalytic converter, trying to find someone who stocks the muffler.

I bought and installed this set up.
Got it from Advanced auto for $80.00 with gaskets and free shipping. (there's lots of coupons for Advanced out there).
Complete exhaust with resonator and tail pipe. Easy install. Rock auto also carries this.
