nice work, do you have any more pics on the z-d front? What did you do to the steering shaft? What else had to be "re-worked" to make it work? Did you keep engine at original height or did you raise it with the z-ed section. I will do this to my truck eventually and the titan is basically same setup as my frontier just bigger. Sorry for the all the questions. I am trying to get an idea of what I'm getting into. Glad you joined IN!

looks good so far

just loosen the nut for the steering and let it slide if it even needs too. will sit the same as always, just the rest of the frame around it will be lowered. dont have to change any mounts

titans were made to be bagged, when i z'd the frame, all that was in the way was the shroud around the radiator fan, everything else just moved right up, oh and i had to do a little blacksmithing on my wiper cowl! lol the stearing shaft wabbles under the dash and there is a rubber thing on the firewall soall i did was cut about 3/4 of a inch off the square side of the stearing shaft and re ground it into a square and lifted the part of the stearing shaft that comes out of the fire wall up to meet it, clears everything. ill take some pix and post them soon.

Looking forward to see this truck done. Titans definitely are meant to be bagged. Just look how awesome they look. Did you lift the rear of transmission up as well to keep its centerline at the stock angle?

chadcrissdesign
04-04-2009, 06:00 AM
nope, the angle change was so minor there was no need too

1/4" line? might just look small since such a big truck. but looks nice and clean. nice work

bdmpastx
04-17-2009, 12:08 AM
He will end up hating the 1/4 line...mine is 1/2 and it isn't even fast. It is moderate at best. When you see that pothole or bump in the road and you hit the switch and nothing happens, you'll wish you had at least 1/2 lines.

pugz
04-17-2009, 12:35 AM
ya yours is kinda slow. but your only running 150psi. right

alec
04-17-2009, 03:10 AM
my titan hops with like 230+ psi with all 1/2 everything....i think im gonna put 5/8 line on it sometime

where you plan on puttin the gas tank?

bdmpastx
04-17-2009, 02:33 PM
Yeah only 150 at the maximum....135-165 is the switch limits. I also have shocks on all four corners.

In the second pic is that a hydraulic fitting on plastic airline or is that hydraulic hose?

chadcrissdesign
04-20-2009, 01:38 AM
It is hydro line and a crimpped fitting

04nissanfrontier
04-20-2009, 02:00 AM
Ok, I didn't know If you had figured out something new with using crimped hydraulic fittings with DOT air line or something

Looks badass btw

I think he said he got em from Mack truck parts, they are very expensive! I just went to the local freightliner parts and service garage and priced out some valves at $397 for 3/8"

chadcrissdesign
04-30-2009, 04:21 AM
thats the valves, but mine are half inch versions, they are not electric in anyways, there air activated by push button air buttons in my roof mounted center console, ill take a pic soon. still cant drive it tell i redoo the rear suspension, drive line is being smashed into the tranny lol

I just got through looking through everything on your thread. This is a very cool build. I honestly partial to the silver paint job. That you had rendered. The trucks coming along really well. Im interested in seeing whats next for it.

Goodjob
