Default Wax Solenoid VG30i

Does it have one and if so where is it? What is the proper name for it? Fast Idle?

yes it does, on the side of the TB, I replaced the one on my former 87 V6.

It is called wax element or thermal element

the oem part# is 16391-12G00 (still available from Nissan), you should see a hose going to a round housing on the TB, the thermo element is inside, word of caution, the new one will come in a weird little contraption that has a spring to keep it compressed, when you go to replace it, have the old one out so you can get the new one in before it expands, it will make life easier.. I believe they have install instructions with them, some sort of paper with writing on it... never read it

Years ago when I replaced it on my former 87, I don't recall it coming compressed against a spring. Usually the hardest part is getting the old one out.
