Default Project: I woke up in a new hardbody

Well, had the Hb for a year now and decided to start a build thread now since I'm doing the SBC v8 swap. Picked up the 12/85' hb for $500 off CL from a person who said it had a blown head gasket, he originally wanted $750 for it so when I got there I showed him 5 lol. Anyways after throwing in a blue devil additive and btw it ran great for a year lol the old z24i was about to be retired.
First wash[IMG][/IMG]

Busted R tail light that I replaced, took off that wack ass blue tint and rear bumper.
Next thing I did was order up some 4" blocks from summit and ordered some pinto shocks here at work.

removed front bump stops and put them in the rear. Got the newer style V grille and painted it black.

Next thing was getting rid of that busted front bumper, so I scored a free newer style 1 piece bumper from a member on here. Ordered up new brackets and threw the bitch on.
Also got pathy power mirrors and newer side markers.[IMG][/IMG]
Went to pick and pull and scored some clean bucket seats off a pathy and a newer style dash. [IMG][/IMG]
Dyed my dash, xterra console, and buckets with black vinyl paint. (Buckets look a lot better now)
Took my silverado 17" z71 wheels to the machine shop to get bored out. and ordered smooth center caps for older 16 z71s. They fit![IMG][/IMG]

Removed the old engine and trans and started cleaning up, sanding and stripping the firewall. Also pulled all my wiring, getting it ready for primer and paint. [IMG][/IMG] Cut off the stock engine mount brackets and started grinding the rest down.
AWWW hard to say goodbye...

So picked up my sbc 350 010 casting number and degreased it this past weekend. Painted it, cleaned up my valve covers and now time to clean up the edlebrock intake. Also many more parts came in; weld in poly mounts, trans mount, alum radiator, and trans oil cooler.

Yea as you can tell this stock bad boy was pretty much useless lol
