Do you want oem sounding or a nice growl? If a nice growl I'd get a flowmaster.

I love my Borla.... Looks nice and is just loud enough to not be totally obnoxious to the neighbors.....

They are not too loud, i got one on my 96 with the KA and it sounds great! wanna get the whole exhaust shortened though to dump out right before the rear tire, and maybe cut the cat out idk yet..but it sounds so good! not ricey, but its a noticeable sound increase, and a good one!

Had a Dynomax Super Turbo on a B13 Sentra. Sounded throaty at cruise and idle, but sounded like a dozen angry bees fighting in a coffee can at full throttle. That might just be a GA16DE thing though...

Had a Thrush Magnum glasspack (perforated, not louvered core) on my 4AGE powered Super 7. Ear-splittingly loud. I replaced it with a Dynomax Super Turbo and it's really nice.

I had a 2-1/2" Magnaflow muffler on the Hardbody, and while it sounded nice everywhere, it droned like a MoFo at exactly cruising speed.

I replaced it with a Walker SoundFX (2-1/2 in, dual 2 out) which is much more liveable.

I'd probably go Dynomax on this one once the Walker dies.

Dynomax are pretty decent for pretty cheap.

Borlas (though I've never run one), ~always~ sound nice.

I've used most of the recommendations above, but this is the best sound (in my opinion) that i've found for K series engines.

I would recommend painting them though, with a very high-temp manifold / header paint because they will begin to corrode from the welds out if you don't give it some protection.
I used flat black stove paint on mine and it still looks perfect.

This is the style I'm going for. Little JDM'ish if you will. You want your exhaust to mimic a aftermarket setup. Meaning, piping, a resonator and piping again end it with muffler of your choice. The drone will be reduced if not eliminated when you use a resonator. Look at most aftermarket exhaust "systems" and you'll see they always have a resonator.

I wish I had taken video of my 510 when I had my different exhaust set ups. It started with dual 2" pipes into a magnaflow Y pipe then it became a singal 2.5" into a round magnaflow muffler. I twas really raspy. Finally I Installed a Oval magnaflow muffler at the end. It made the car sound exotic as fuck. Got many compliments.
