Default high idle

my pathfinder idles at around 1800. I have looked for a vacuum leak, and not found any. motor is completely stock 3.0 v6 with 207000 on it. I bought it from the original owner, who had never done anything but regular maintenance on it. where should I start looking, and what should I see while I am looking there?

my 97 hb with a KA24e had a high idle when i got it and i tried several things including the idle air control valve. i ended up adjusting a screw on the back of the throttle body. i think it was on the fast idle cam? it's on the linkage where the throttle cable connects. i did this as a last resort after looking at alot of other stuff.
