Default Configuration Options

Hey all,

I am curious about the configurations Nissan offered with the Frontiers. I am mostly interested in the 4 door cab configurations. I have seen what appears to be a 4 door cab with a very short bed, much like that of a Tacoma. I have also seen 4 door cabs with a more usable bed. What is it, 5.5'? It doesn't look like a full 6' bed with quad cab, yet still quite usable.

I also know Nissan threw a super charger on the v6 on some of those 4 door cab trucks making for terrible mileage. Do all the 4 door regular beds (longer) have the supercharger?

No, not all 4 doors (or 2 doors) came with the supercharger, it was available on the SC models.

When Nissan introduced the 4 door in the US the bed was short, in later years they offered a longer bed.

some good info here:

2002 crew cab long bed :

2002 crewcab short bed:

here is a 2002 crewcab short bed SC (with supercharger):

I just chose 2002 because they were the first ones to come up

Cool. So it looks like Nissan did offer the crew cab with a longbed.

I don't think the long bed was as long as the long bed on the hardbody but it was definitely longer than the standard bed on the crew cab

Seems like it is a tad shorter than a standard 6' bed that is on the hardbody. If it is not the 6' length, it has to be close though.
The long bed seems more rare, but I think it is a better option than the Tacoma. Seem to be a tad cheaper also. Typical. Guess we Nissan owners are in-the-know when it comes to the Toyota/Nissan price differences and product
