Default NEED HELP!!!!!! 87 Nissan hardbody 4x4 z24. Won't run on own

I am new to this site and hope I'm using it right

I have a 87 Nissan 4x4 with the z24i motor. The problem I am having is it won't run on its own. I can pour some gas down the intake and it will fire up and run until it burns it off. I know it wants to run. It has injectors pulse and fuel pressure. I replaced the tps and the computer and it still won't run on its own. Will only run if you provide the fuel directly. PLEASE HELP

Sounds like you have a bad injector. Do they actually spray any fuel?

I don't actually know to be completely honest. I don't have a helper to try and start the truck while I watch it. The most it'll do on its own is crank over and try to start. It starts for a split second just enough to kick the starter off

Crank it over for a minute then smell the exhaust pipe for gas fumes. If they are working correctly you'll smell it. I'm with A_L on this one and suspect that one or both of them isn't spraying fuel down the throttle body. Also, don't press the gas pedal down while cranking. In a lot of older EFI systems cranking it with the gas pedal floored will put it in clear/flood mode and the injectors won't fire.

If not that, slight chance: Is the air filter installed, and really dirty?

I don't have a air filter on it as of right now. I cranked it over like 20 seconds and didn't smell any gas at all. Now if I crank it over and press the gas slightly it will kick over and kick the starter off

There's your answer. It sounds like the injectors aren't firing. The next step is to find out why. Are they clogged? Failed internally? Not getting power or is the ECU not commanding them on?

Its either bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter or plugged injectors. Check fuel pump fuse and relay. Even swap a relay from another non starting component to see if that works.

Well I have cleaned the injectors and it didn't change anything. They both are getting 12 volts of power and get get a ground signal when the ucu tells them to fire. They both ohm at about 1.2 ohms each
