That should help to explain this diagram: ![]() If anyone has a video how to check the older ECUs, please share it here. This video was from Deerhurst: Once you have your codes written down, click over to our the sticky on what these codes mean: ECU / Check engine light - Diagnostic Codes Links to TroubleCodes.net

Dude in that video sounds a little bit like like a hick, too. What's up with that? I thought it was Mater from Cars there for a second.
I got a decent ways into that video when the rain started, and I was like, "Really? Right now?" I didn't have a way to make a stored code pop back up again, or I would have re-recorded it. That's my little tin roof over the shed I built for it (old pic): ![]()

You taking about me? I'll have to do another and better video. I know I sounded pretty hillbilly in my header video. Funny thing is, I'm from California and now live in Oregon!

my ECM is the pathfinder version. it has the grey plastic cover that protects the toggle switch.
it also has the window like deerhurts. when its powered on, it flashes 1, 2, 3, 4 then 5 and starts over. you have to wait until it flashes three, then flip the switch before it starts to flash 4 times. then it will start throwing codes via the red and green lights.
