Default Noob here. What shocks should I get?

Nitro drop 2 or street performance shocks? Also I heard people use skateboard wheels as bump stops in the back, anyone try it? How rough is the ride compared to the stock bumpstop ? Right now I only have 4 inch blocks and I'll just crank torsion bars till I get 15in wheels. 94 d21

Hi Glazy,
As for shocks..... are you replacing the front or the rear shocks? For the front you could do either of those performance shocks you listed or search the forum and see that most other guys have been using the pinto and 4wd d21 shocks.....there is a sticky in the suspension section. In the rear since you have blocks you can run the stock shocks, or upgrades if you wish.

For the bumpstops question, skateboard wheels sounds like a terrible idea to me. IF your suspension bottoms out you want something that will normally have an amount of give when the suspension makes contact, I cant imagine that skateboard wheels would have much(or any) flex in that scenario. If you are riding on your bumpstop right now you could take them out and trim them, or just leave them out. There are none in my truck.

I just order all four belltech SP shocks and I won't be using skate wheel as bump stops lol. I might just ride with no bump stops and see how it is with the belltech SPs.
