Thanks, they also let the hood open further than the prop rod would.

Looking good. What do you think the 4.0 will be like to wrench on compared to, say, a VG engine? Although hopefully it will be several years before it needs anything outside of regular maintenance.

and now your parts/service records list for this truck has started. i still need to order those cables JP posted for the tailgate. until i address the big rotting spot in my floorboard, the truck is not being driven much. only on days with 1000000% chance of no rain.

Newer Frontiers use cables for the tailgate.

Not much yet on my service/add on records, LOL:

Changed oil & Filter (Mobil 1 5W30 & Nissan filter) - 29,446 (10/28/18)
installed plug in jumper cables - 11-03-18
installed hood struts - 11-17-18

No idea on how it is to work on, I know there is like no room under the hood, haven't found a place for my air horn yet and the 2 stock horns sound like they should be on a Prius !!

I never had to work on my 2011 Frontier 4.0 so I canít comment on how it is to work on. But it sure is a great engine to drive! Iíll own another one when the time it right

I see some people remove the intake to replace the plugs on the pass. side, but I found a guy that has a bunch of how to's and he says you can change the plugs without removing the intake:

Neat, I'm sure it's got a lot more lead in its pencil than the old KA24 lol. From the pictures it looks sort of cramped but I don't know, I've never seen one up close. I've wrenched on a couple of VG-powered nissans and I didn't think they were really bad at all.
